Book Review: The Paris Apartment by Lucy Foley

A small confession before I get going with my review, I was yet to read a Lucy Foley book until The Paris Apartment and I am so glad I can say that I now have. Dare I say it may have got me back into thrillers again.

REVIEW
I had unintentionally taken a break from reading thrillers over the past few months, but The Paris Apartment intrigued me enough to pick one up again, and I'm glad to say that I wasn't disappointed.
A luxurious apartment block in Paris hosts an eclectic mix of characters. We have the watchful concierge, the scorned lover, the prying journalist, the naïve student and the unwanted guest. Each has their own secrets to hide, especially after the murder. But who did it? Who is hiding something? And who is it that holds the key to this mystery?
The Paris Apartment was very much a whodunnit thriller with little twists and turns the further in you read. These are my favourite types of thriller books as I love that they keep you guessing at each turn and that not everyone is who they seem. The characters were the main focus of the book. I was constantly looking for inconsistencies in what they were doing and saying, and choosing my own most likely suspect. 
Although not the fastest paced thriller I have read, there was enough suspense and intrigue to keep me turning the pages, and once into it, it was hard to put down.
A twisty turny whodunnit with an ending I can genuinely say I did not see coming.
