How could I not be part of the epic epic blog tour for C.L. Taylor's latest book, Strangers. A big thank you to Avon Books for having me be part of yet another fantastic tour. I am a huge fan of C.L. Taylor and I'm thrilled to be able to share my review with you.
REVIEW
Every year, I get so excited when I hear whispers that a new book is coming from C.L.Taylor. I have read all of her books apart from one, which I still have on my TBR pile and I WILL get round to it soon, I promise. My firm favourite still remains The Lie, but Strangers has now become a close second.
Ursula, Gareth and Alice have never met before, they are strangers, each struggling with with worrying events in their lives. Ursula thinks she killed the love of her life, Gareth is receiving strange postcards and Alice is being stalked. They may not know each other but their lives are about to collide on one fateful evening where they will need to stick together otherwise they will die....
This is one of those books that you will absolutely whizz through as you will need to know more! There is so much to keep you on your toes and keep you guessing. I also liked the fact that the characters didn't know each other at all as I was constantly wondering how they were all going to end up connected.
I actually read this as part of a readalong and I can honestly say that this made Strangers even more enjoyable. I loved hearing everyone's theories as to what they think would happen and who it was that was behind it all. If you do pick this one up and I really hope you do, definitely try and read it alongside a buddy or a group of friends. It's also perfect for this current climate we are in and need some fun distractions.
I love a curveball and that's exactly what C.L.Taylor threw in right at the end. Sorry to sound cliched but I genuinely was not expecting that and I would be hugely suprised if you manage to guess it.
Gripping, page turning and I thoroughly enjoyed trying to figure out who dunnit.
