Book Review: The Hunt by Tim. J Lebbon

I was so excited when I got sent this book in the post especially as it had be specially done so that it had my name on it! I really couldn't not wait to read, especially as it had been dubbed thriller of the year!

Unfortunately it is never normally a good thing to go in with high expectations as those expectations usually are not met and sadly this is what happened here.

Don't get me wrong, I thought the idea for the book was brilliant; an elite, untouchable organisation called the Trail organise hunts for very rich people to go out and hunt to kill selected people.
I just could not quite get my head around this idea. I know fiction is not real, but I just could not manage to quite believe it in the fiction world. Also I found that despite everything that was happening, I couldn't sympathise with the main protagonists, which is CRAZY, because I would not wish their situations on my worst enemy. I think the problem was was that we thrown straight into the action and not really given enough time to get to know the main characters, because once I was half way, I started to get hooked into the story more and this was partly because I had got to know Chris and Rose and their backgrounds.

So despite a shaky first start and high expectations, the second part really delivered and even though it took me a while to get into, I know thriller fans will love this.
