I was so excited to see The Faraway Smell of Lemon in paperback in Waterstones so I just had to pick it up and buy it. As it is a short story, it is really diddy and I love it!
This was a really sweet but sad story. In just a few short pages, we learn so much about the protagonist Binny and her life. Rachel once again draws you in and all too soon the story is over.
I found this really thought-provoking and in it's way it actually lifts your spirits and it doesn't just have to be read at Christmas, it can be read at any time of the year :).
