Review

Frozen Charlotte tells the grisly tale of the Frozen Charlotte Dolls. Dunvegan School in Skye has been closed for many years after some freak goings on. Now a family home, the school has left some horrible looking dolls behind. After a terrible accident, Sophie finds herself travelling up to Skye to see her cousins but really to find out more. Once there she realises that something is very very wrong and the creepy dolls that she finds there may have something to do with it.

This was definitely the most creepy and chilling book I have read in a while! After only reading 40 pages before bedtime, I was in for a sleepless night! This may be a YA book, but at 25, I found it very scary.

Frozen Charlotte is a highly addictive read. Once you start, you literally cannot stop. There is a desperate need to find out what is going on and what will happen. Alex Bell writes at just the right pace, creates a really creepy, heart-pounding atmosphere and will have you racing through to the end. So fast in fact that I read this in a day! Everything else around you will become non-existent as you become sucked into this terrifying read!

The setting was also brilliant and had everything needed for a recipe to scare. What creeped me out more are that Frozen Charlotte dolls do actually exist and the Fair Charlotte Ballad is an actual American Folk Ballad! I thought the story Alex had created around them was fantastic, but I really hope I never come into contact with one of them!

With it's brilliant twists and turns, Frozen Charlotte will shock you, scare you and keep you up at night!
