Blog Tour: One Hundred Proposals by Holly Martin

Today I am thrilled to part of the blog tour for One Hundred Proposals by Holly Martin with a review.

Synopsis

‘Is there really such a thing as a perfect proposal?
Over the next hundred days I intend to find out. I will find one hundred ways to propose to our Chief Proposer Suzie McKenzie and post the results here for your enjoyment. One thing’s for sure, not one of my proposals will be on top of the Eiffel Tower with a dozen red roses.’
Best friends Suzie and Harry are partners in romance. That is, they run the.PerfectProposal.com, coming to the aid of would-be grooms to create the ultimate marriage proposal.
But when Harry decides to catapult the business into the big leagues with a PR stunt all Suzie can see is a hundred days of heartbreak stretching ahead of her. But however exotic the location, or breath-takingly romantic the setting, Suzie has to keep remembering that ‘Marry Me?’ is the one question she can’t say yes to.
This business proposal should come with one hundred broken heart warnings...
One hundred proposals, one hundred chances to say yes.

Review

This is actually the best contemporary romance novel for the year for me! I know we are still only in June, but other books are going to have a hard time living up to this one!

It has been quite a while since I read a book in a day, but once I started this, I couldn't stop, I just had to keep reading!

One Hundred Proposals centers on the lovely Suzie and her gorgeous friend Harry. They both work together for Suzie's business the.PerfectProposal.com. They literally help create the perfect proposal for you. Harry comes up with the idea that he will try and find the perfect proposal for her and will do this through 100 different proposals and also help promote the business. The only problem being that Suzie is in love with Harry so this is going to be torture for Suzie as she is fairly sure he doesn't feel the same way.

To coin a phrase I see regularly on twitter- OMG THE FEELS! One Hundred Proposals sends you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. One of those emotions being frustration LOL! You just want Suzie to just get on with it and tell Harry how she's feels!

There was one quote in this that totally jumped out at me and that was this: "Sometimes you wait for your dreams to come true, but sometimes the dream is just a fantasy, when in the real world there are things or people who could make you happier than any of your wildest dreams could". I'm not usually a soppy person, but this quote really got to me as it was so true!

I was expecting this to be good having previously read Holly's last book, The Guestbook, but she completely blew me away with One Hundred Proposals.

As we travel around the world with Suzie and Harry I was completely swept away in all the different locations they visit. Each time Suzie is 'proposed' to I know I would have said yes to every single one of them.

What I really took away from this is that perhaps it's not about having the perfect proposal, but the man that is proposing to you, as not matter how spectacular the proposal, it will mean nothing if it's coming from the wrong person.

This is a book to completely get lost in. As much as I wanted to get to the end to find out what would happen, I also didn't want it to finish.

An absolutely stunning read from Holly Martin, that you definitely need on your kindle!

5/5
