Showcase Sunday #19

Showcase Sunday is hosted by Vickie at Books Biscuits and Tea. The aim of this event is to highlight our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders each week. For more information about how this feature works and how to join in, click here.

After my massive book haul this week, I curbed my book buying a bit so as to be able to hopefully make a dent in my pretty big TBR pile, but still received some lovely books this week.

The Lying Down Room by Anna Jaquiery (Review Copy)
The Visitors by Rebecca Mascull (Review Copy)
Forgive Me Leonard Peacock by Matthew Quick (Gift)

Whenever my Mum goes away for a weekend with my Dad, she always leaves me and my sister a little something and this time she got me Forgive Me Leonard Peacock. I have been wanting to read this one for a while and was so happy to get it from my Mum. Please don't get me wrong, I love buying books, but it feels really special when a family member or friend buys you a book :). I adore the cover of The Visitors! I entered in to a competition on twitter to win a hardback copy of The Visitors. I didn't win, but Rebecca messaged me and asked if I would like the trade paperback in exchange for a review. I was delighted and said yes straight away. It sounds like a beautiful book. My final book this week is The Lying Down Room. It sounds quite scary, so think I will be reading this one in the daylight and have a happy book to read once I've finished it.

So those are my books this week. What did you all receive/buy/borrow? Please do let me know.

Have a great Sunday.
