Showcase Sunday is hosted by Vickie at Books Biscuits and Tea. The aim of this event is to highlight our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders each week. I've missed a couple of Showcase Sundays as travelling has taken up a lot of my time and I've also been really unwell since last Friday. I'm finally feeling better and my room is being decorated this weekend so I can't wait to see the finished result!
Some lovely books this week have perked me up:
Can't Take My Eyes Off of You by Clare Dowling (Review Copy)
The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd (Won)
A Gift to Remember by Melissa Hill (Purchased)
The City of Shadows by Michael Russel (Review Copy)
The City of Strangers by Michael Russel (Review Copy)
Can't Take my Eyes off of You was a surprise book post so was very excited to receive this. I was so thrilled to have won The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd as not only did I loved her previous novel The Secret Life of Bees and this was my first Goodreads competition win! I couldn't resist buying A Gift to Remember as it was only £5 on Amazon and there has been so much talk about it on Twitter. Looking forward to reading this one! Also the Michael Russel books sound like excellent thrillers. I like historical thrillers. So yes wonderful book post this week!
Over you everyone; what books have you bought or received this week? Have you read any of the above? Hope you all have a lovely Sunday and happy reading!
I'm really pleased that you're feeling a lot better Laura :) <3
